Illustrations
Even though I am a Graphic Designer, I still like to hand sketch my designs. I draw both, physical and digital drawings with an iPad and Apple Pencil. Sometimes I like combining all three methods staring with a sketch, then digital sketch, and finalizing in Adobe Illustrator to create a large set of artistic pieces.
The Mourning Doves Book
The Mouring Dove book was written by Rhoda May Franck. This book is a poem for kids that also includes facts about mourning doves. I illustrated the book by hand drawing all the images, then transferred the images to a digital format. Below are a few excerpts from the book. (This book is currently unavailable.)
Azteca Playing Cards
These cards were made during my Junior year at University of the Pacific, with a focus on showing hierarchy. I am very connected to my culture and decided to make a set of playing cards showing the importance of Aztec symbolism and social status through hierarchy.
