About

I am Carmen Cobian, a graduate of the University of the Pacific with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Graphic Design. My hobbies are writing poetry, riding on my longboard, taking photos, and stargazing. Though I have many hobbies and interests, art has always been my true passion. I love any form of art, from music to drawing and painting.

I am Mexican-American, and many of my art pieces are greatly inspired by my cultural heritage and its history. Since a young age, the celebration behind Day of the Dead has always fascinated me. The meaning behind the holiday, colors, and decorations are beyond beautiful. Growing up, some of my favorite artists and inspirations included
Diego Rivera, José Guadalupe Posada, and Carlos Amorales. To this day I am still inspired by the way these artist told Mexico’s history and the way they told a story through their works of art.
